The “dimming of the light” evokes a natural, gradual fading of daylight, often symbolic of endings or transitions. In contrast, Daylight Saving Time is a man-made adjustment, where clocks are set forward or back to make better use of daylight. While one is poetic and inevitable, the other reflects our attempt to manipulate time for convenience.
